Springfield artist Janice Chan has created a most unique group of paintings based on poet Vachel Lindsay's little-known fascination with all things Chinese. The paintings, after the Lindsay poem "The Five Dragons" can be seen at the Vachel Lindsay Home along with other Chan works through September 3rd.Chan, a local architect, designer and artist, is the current "Artist in Residence" at the historic home. She is active in the local arts scene as a member of the Illinois Pastel Society (IPPS),Sangamon Watercolor Society (SWS), and the Third Thursday group of artists. The Vachel Lindsay Home showing is her first solo exhibit.
